The challenge
Existing trail apps assumed constant connectivity, leaving hikers stranded without maps the moment they lost signal in the backcountry.
Our approach
We designed an offline-first sync engine that pre-caches map tiles and route data, then layered on a community heatmap and trip-report sharing once users reconnect.
